ACHIEVEMENTS

The NSS Unit of our PU College is serving the society for the past 30 years.  Our  college NSS unit was awarded the best NSS-UNIT award by Pre university Board of Education.  The various service schemes undertaken by the NSS units in the past few years evince our motto for Service.

Some of the highlights of service rendered by our NSS unit are
1. Distribution of more than 60 Learners Licence and Driving License to the villagers of Belavatha under the leadership of District Judge Sri. Subhash Shetkar and RTO Sri.Dubey. 2. In coordination with JSS Dental college , Doctors of JSS college  conducted Free Dental checkup and treatment camp for the villagers .
3. We have planted saplings to promote awareness on Environment under the guidance of the President of Environment Committee and state awardee Sri. Bhanu Mohan. 4. To create awareness about AIDS, in association with Aids Prevention Society Bangalore and Mysore, we have conducted Rallys, organized essay writing and Drawing competitions for students of various institutions of Mysore city.
5. An effort was made to create awareness about cancer, TB and other diseases. In addition to this a programme was launched towards Anti Tobacco movement. 6. With the support of Sushrutha Eye hospital, Mysore more 100  beneficiaries were treated for Eye ailments.
7. Our students have participated in state level NSS camps. 8. Many of students have participated in personality development work shops and camps.
9. In association with PUE board, we had organized a camp to address “TEENAGE PROBLEMS” 10. Our College NSS unit had organized Lectures by Smt. M R Nagamani on the subject “DIGITAL PAYMENT” .
11. Special camps have been organized to promote proper protection of our water bodies. 12. The NSS unit students have attended many Nature trek , mountain climbing and hiking expeditions.
13. The state level best volunteer award was given to our student H U Vivek for the year 2016-17 by PUE board. 14. Free legal advice camp was organized under the aegis of District judge and advocates .
15. Awareness camp about Ayurveda was conducted for general public and our NSS unit students. 16. Blood donation camp was organized by our NSS Unit.

The NSS Unit of Mahajana PU College has continuously rendering yeomen service to the society through many  such activities.

The NSS Unit of Mahajana PU College has been continuously rendering yeomen service to the society through many  such activities.

The college has an NSS unit with a sanctioned strength of 40 students. Students can enrol themselves voluntarily with this scheme to discover their capabilities. The unit has a track record of service projects. Our unit was adjudged as the best unit in 1992-93 for the entire state of Karnataka for its regular camp activities.
